Gianna Caronni (clarinet, bass clarinet, vocals), Laura Caronni (cello, vocals)
Born in Argentina, Las Hermanas Caronni have achieved widespread artistic success in France. The sisters are twins, born only ten minutes apart in Rosario, on the banks of the Paraná, and the harmony between them is more than obvious in their performances. They started playing publicly at the age of 12 all over Argentina with the Buenos Aires Colón Theatre Academic Orchestra. In the late 90s they moved to France to complete their music studies at the Lyon Conservatoire. The music produced by the Caronni sisters is an artform: taking tango and milonga as their base, they gradually weave in wisps of classical music and of the French chanson.
